The grassland states (waterbien: stivitos akawan) were a type of state on Unistarch before its unification under the Impatinum Unistarch. They were characterised by being small, high-density, and wealthy. The two main akawan civilisations were the Solituda civilisation and the Ikivis civilisation, surrounding their respective oceans.
In the Utalatis age, many grassland states attempted to conquer desert states. These were eventually abandoned when industrialisation combined with advances in person weaponry made it uneconomical to hold the desert states for longer than a generation at a time.
